Driving the Struggle Bus

Friends, after quite the blogging hiatus I have managed to find my life preserve, and I think I’m finally bobbing above the water.
August to September has felt like one of the longest months of my life. This post is missing all the bells and whistles. It lacks aesthetics of high resolution photos with perfectly placed words but here I am. After such a long time away I had to start somewhere.

Guys, I am not even kidding I have been captain of the struggle bus and let’s say it primarily had been parked with a flat tire. I haven’t even made my first voyage to Disneyland which should more than explain how much I am not “normal” Jessica.
On a much more positive note, I am finally getting into a sweet little groove and soaking up all the incredible things Southern California has to offer.

If you have navigated your way to Whole Latte Jess, I am so happy you are here reading and sharing my journey! With that, I guess that it is time to let you all in on such an exciting announcement. We get to welcome a baby into our family this April. After several long years and an adventure with IVF, I got a positive pregnancy test. I found out the great news just days before our huge move.

Honestly, I never anticipated being so overwhelmed. So for all of you that have offered up your thoughts prayers and have followed me along this journey, I apologize for not sharing the great news earlier than now. I suppose when you think about it, I can attribute some of those first trimester struggles to having felt so out of whack this last month.

Either way, this Mama is PREGNANT! My sweet baby girl Madison is going to be a big sister, and she is beyond excited.
I have had several ultrasounds with my new doctor here in California, and things are looking good. Please continue to keep our growing family in your thoughts and prayers as we transition!
